Battlefield Baby
(Poetic Form: Trimeric, devise by Charles A. Stone)

It is a tragedy to see
a baby born on no-man’s land.
Her foster father’s genes are hers
but her Creator had a plan.

A baby born on no-man’s land
mid deadly conflict all about
portrays the plight of everyone.

Her foster father’s genes are hers
His inborn evil deeds she’ll do
despite her Father’s nature true.

But her Creator had a plan
to free her from her desperate fate
and thus provide a righteous state.

there will be selected precept and verse,

to the elders – for the young ones.
